Howdy there! So just a bit about me and this blog. I’m a Texas State student studying Public Relations, with a minor in Communications. I currently am a full time student whilst being a part time luxury sales employee. Let me throw some information about me that you didn’t ask for. I’m a middle child, a Scorpio, and a dog mom. I am a proud woman of color, she/her, and a feminist. But greatly enough, I am a traveler. I aspire continuously to be a traveler of this world. Let’s face it, there’s so much culture and land to travel among. I have been privileged to see and travel to many places, from within the states to outside our borders. It makes me feel credible enough to speak and encourage this sort of topic.
I had some specific reasons to start up this blog. In this academic year, I was lucky enough to become a member of the Worldwide exchange welcome club. In this club, we have the opportunity to meet the international exchange students and show them around the local areas and befriend them while they transition to a new country temporarily. I wanted this blog based off of Central Texas, as it my location, but also to encourage myself to show some of the students around and find a new spot to mark off their checklist of places to see. A win-win situation if you ask me!
I genuinely hope this blog brings a smile to your face and I am very grateful to those who took the time to read it. Despite this being a semester long assignment for a class, I really enjoyed it and am grateful for my professor and lab teacher!
